New blog?
So it appears that you found me! Awesome. Well this page will change gradually as I settle back into the habit and I haven't decided if I want to repost all the stuff from the old page so whatever. So how's life on the West Coast you might be asking? Well, let's start with how was it getting back to the West Coast?! Well, it turns out that I almost lost my life in Montana enduring a certain New Yorker's virgin-driving-experience through the Rocky Mountains. For those who have never driven through mountain passes before, don't try. For there's a secret code of driving etiquette that is shared between truckers and mountain-drivers. For example, on a divided four-lane highway (such as I-90), only use left lane for passing. That's a pretty standard one right? Or another example, turn off your brights in the presence of oncoming traffic. Or, always let trucks pass you when going downhill....etc. So the the combination of sharp turns, steep slopes, limited visibility, deer, Chris's-driving-down-the-mountain-in-the-passing-lane at-30-mph, and trucks-racing-down-the-mountain-behind-us-at-60-mph was the perfect transportation cocktail at 1am. Let's just say being the passenger wasn't easy.
Aside from that, everyone should experience a roadtrip at least once in thier life (driving to Syracuse doesn't count) to find the true appreciation for sunflower seeds and beef jerkey....oh yeah and that other thing called the American landscape.
